This group is for those of secondary school age and above, and runs each Friday night (during term) from 7:30 - 9pm. Admission is just 30p.
The evening is hosted by Debbie Budsworth, Brian Sellers, Barry Sellers and Nicola Grimshaw, with the assistance of Maxine Wood, Mavis Sellers and Pamela Sellers
The evening is set out so that the children are allowed to spend time together and generally have fun. Various activities are open to attendees, such as:
- Table Football
- Pool or Snooker
- Football
- Basketball
- and various other games.
The group never really has a set order of play. Theme nights are arranged every so often, ranging from Quiz Nights to Classic Rock Nights and from Beach Parties to Sleepovers. The only thing that is constant is The Word Of God. This forms the Christian basis of the group. The children are simply asked to sit while one of the leaders tells them of the wonder of Christ and discusses certain issues. This lasts about 20 minutes and helps the children to discover God for themselves.
The children are free to talk in private with any of the leaders or helpers about any issues or raise any questions. All children who are truly interested in the Lord are presented with their own bible and prayed for by the group.
